It can be used for various applications such as Sous Vide cooking, controlling an electric smoker, making yogurt, dough proofing, controlling the temperature of a table top toaster oven, or converting a fridge to a low temperature incubator for beer fermentation or sourdough storing. The controller offers two different control mode: PID mode and on/off mode. The PID control mode is capable of maintaining the temperature within one degree over a long period of time. The on/off mode is similar to a conventional thermostat, but with better precision. It can be used for controlling refrigerator compressor which does not like high frequency cycling. The controller has a built-in timer that allows the user to program the temperature profile for his or her application. It can also be disabled for simple operations when timer is not needed.When timer is enabled, user can input a recipe or a temperature profile with up to 6 steps. Totally 8 different recipes can be stored in the nonvolatile memory of the controller.This controller is equipped with an industrial grade RTD sensor (class A Pt100 sensor). It is more accurate, more reliable, and covers wider temperature range than thermistor sensors that are commonly used in home appliances. Multi-purpose RTD sensor is included in this listing. It can be used for heating applications like smoker. It has 6 ft long, double jacked three conductor, high temperature cable. In addition, we offer more than 30 different configurations of Pt100 RTD sensors that cover a broad range of applications. Any of those sensors can be used with this controller if a mini RTD connector is installed on the end of the cable.
