This is because FedEx will automatically deny all claims without signature. If a product is not received, FedEx advises the customer to file a police report for theft and claim it on homeowner’s insurance. We also offer shipping insurance through FedEx for an additional fee. If a product is lost in transit, FedEx will pay the entire insured value, but if additional insurance is not on the package, they will only cover the minimum $100 insurance plus the original shipping charge.
