Great solo effort from Moses Davis (1978). The feel here is kind of an extension of the later Counts work on Aware Records, funky at the core, but with some smoother touches too, definitely a hint of Atlanta-styled sounds of the mid 70s, particularly some of the best clubby elements of that scene. Rhythms have an early Bohannon vein, and the album balances out groovers with some mellower numbers too with great keyboards (organ, Fender Rhodes, and clavinet) from Robert Lowe Jr. TRACKLIST:1.
