Description: Hello! I sell here pre-owned MOLNIYA USSR Mechanical Clock ServicedGAGARIN Tereshkova 1st Astronaut Vintage Desktop Space Programs 12.04.1961. All images and pictures in this lot have not been retouched or computer processed. Everything looks natural. The watch is in perfectly working order. This is vintage desktop clock Molniya. The watch dial has got images of the very 1st man-astronaut Yuri Gagarin and the very 1st woman-astronaut Valentina Tereshkova. The metal rocket has got an inscription CCCP, , 12.IV.1961 It was a date of the first space flight when Yuri Gagarin flied into space on a spacecraft "Vostok-1". This MOLNIYA is Soviet clock devoted to the Soviet space programs. The clock was made in USSR in the end of 1960s. The clock is working after being serviced. The original dial was in poor condition and replaced with this one. Please see actual pictures. The clock is used as seen on the images below but runs well and keeps time accurately as it has been serviced (cleaned, lubricated and calibrated) by a professional watchmaker: 1. All parts tested for wear 2. Broken ones have been replaced with good parts 3. All parts washed up in gasoline 4. The movement was put whole, then lubricated and calibrated 5. The case was washed up in jewelry ultra-sonic washing machine 6. A new crystal was set up.
