Description: MODERNIST geometric ALABASTER EGG LAMP light sculpture 16.5" tall possibly Italian MCM! Fresh from an estate and offered for purchase is this amazing modernist geometric egg form light sculpture table lamp made of solid alabaster that changes color when lit. It is not hallmarked anywhere that I can find, but I a guessing it was made in Italy. Dimensions are 9" diameter x 16.5" tall, and it weighs 14 lbs. It have installed a brand new dimmable LED bulb inside to light it, and it would be dimmable with a wall dimmer if desired. Condition is excellent with no chips or cracks except a minor chip on the inside lip that is hidden when the top is installed (see 9th photo.) Otherwise there are a few light scrapes that show up lighter when it is not lit, and could be easily polished out (also shown in last photos.) The lamp works perfectly.
