The sand digger was made by the Sparks Bourne Handy Corp., 2929 E Washington Street, Indianapolis, Indiana, in 1947.....measures 32" long X 18" high X 9 inches wide.....weighs approx 9 pounds....extremely well made just like the Buddy L trucks and construction toys of the 1920's and 30's....two handles on sides of the toy raise and lower the boom and open and close the bucket, just like the real thing....bears a striking resemblance to Mike Mulligan's steam shovel
