This is a rare August 28th, 1927 program (playbill) from the Pre-Broadway engagement of the MAURIE RUBENS, GERTRUDE PURCELL, GLADYS UNGER and CLIFFORD GREY musical comedy "THE MADCAP" at the Great Northern Theatre in Chicago, Illinois. (The Original Broadway production would open January 31st, 1928 at New York's Royale Theatre, transfer on February 20th, 1928 to the Casino Theatre and close April 28th, 1928 after 103 performances.) ..... The musical starred MITZI HAJOS and featured MARIE DAYNE, LILLIAN LANE, ETHEL INTROPIDI, SYDNEY GREENSTREET, ETHEL MORRISON, HARRY PUCK, MARCELLA SWANSON, CHARLES SYLBER, PAT CLAYTON, ARTHUR TREACHER and CLIFFORD SMITH ..... CONDITION: With the exception of minor creasing, this rare playbill is in excellent condition and will make a wonderful addition to the collection of any musical theatre aficionado or historian. This item will be carefully packaged in a protective, carded sleeve and backed by stiff cardboard.
