Description: University of Missouri (Mizzou) Columbia MO memorabilia from the estate of a graduate during the latter 40s to mid 50s when he was a student there. He kept it all! Showme was a student-produced humor magazine from the 1920s to the 1960s that featured work by University of Missouri writers and illustrators. It was ranked as one of the top student publications in the country in the 1940s and 1950s. Profusely illustrated with art and photos, and, of course, lots of nostalgic ads. April 1953 - 40 pages. 8.5 X 11. Cover art by Bill Braznell. This is dubbed the "Love Issue." Covers VG, very minor wear. Inner pages GOOD. Soiled spots on a couple of pages, the center two-page spread cartoon and the following page with Queen Annie Ryan on it has a section torn away at the top edge. No marks anywhere.
