Description: DiameterCup: 3.5"Saucer: 5.6"Sugar Bowl: 3.8"Creamer: 2.6" x 4" 1912-1950 Original Globe Stamp. Haddon Hall is an English Medieval Manor House built by the river Wye near Bakewell Derbyshire and is the former seat of the Dukes of Rutland. The origins of the hall date from the 11th century, with additions at various stages between the 13th and the 17th century, the latter was in the Tudor style.The Tea Cup and matching Saucer by Minton is in a beautifully coloured floral chintz on creamy white bone china. The edge trim is Lincoln [apple] green. The Haddon Hall Pattern was designed by John Wadsworth. These pieces were made at the Minton Works, London Rd, Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire. England.The distinctive decorative pattern was inspired by tapestry's hanging behind the high table & bench within the banqueting hall. Haddon Hall china was designed and started production in 1948 by John Wadsworth who's signature was added to the MINTONS 1912-1950 backstamp. These are much sought after items. Minton's Bone China Works, in Staffordshire UK, was founded in 1793 by Thomas Minton and became one of the most prestigious producers of bone china in the known world. Minton’s China Works merged with Royal Doulton Tableware Group Ltd in 1968. Waterford -Wedgewood took over Royal Doulton in 2005 along with Minton, Royal Albert, Beswick and others that of which were part of the Royal Doulton group.Every Piece have the 1912-1950 MINTONS backstamp and was manufactured in 1949.7 Pieces are Great Condition.
