Description: Leica M4 Black Chrome 35mm Film Rangefinder Camera Body COSMETIC CONDITION: MINT This M4 is in superb, near-flawless condition showing the slightest signs of very light use. This is by far one of the cleanest BC M4's I have ever seen. The black chrome still retains that dark, deep black finish which is very uncommon for these models due to age/use. Please examine the listing photos for the overall cosmetic condition of the item. MECHANICAL / OPTICAL CONDITION: Please note: the frame counter does not reset when the base plate is removed.This is most likely due to sitting unused for so long, and this is a $100 fix per DAG Camera Repair. It should be noted that the frame counter can be manually reset by pulling down on the coupling lever/arm within the film take-up chamber. All other functions work properly. All shutter speeds fire probably and sound accurate. Both shutter curtains are in excellent condition, free of any pinholes/deterioration. The viewfinder is clean and clear, free of any fungus, haze or debris. The rangefinder patch is bright, aligned and accurate. This camera has been film tested and is deemed fully functional, excluding the noted frame counter issue.
