This 1943 knife manufactured by Imperial remains in new unissued condition as does its M8 scabbard. It has no defects whatsoever. It was repackaged in August of 1958 and never was issued and has been in storage since. The M3 knife manufacturers quit stamping the blade in 1943 and changed to marking the cross guard in 1944. So we can positively date the knife to 1943. It has never been reworked nor rebuilt and is factory new in condition and is 81 years old!
