However, here are a few of the recommended methods to minimize fraying when pre-washing: · Hand wash and line dry· Serge / zigzag the cut edges before washing· Put the fabric in a mesh laundry bag to wash and dry (like you would use for delicate fabrics, such as pantyhose). Do not wash with harsh detergents or chemicals (like bleach). To avoid color bleeding wash each colored fabric separately.To press out wrinkles, mist fabric with water. Use a gentle up and down motion, not a heavy dragging motion across fabric.
