Description: A sweet oil painting of the Washington Arch in Washington Square Park in New York City. Buildings to right are flying 3 U.S. flags. 2 flower vendors with carts in the foreground. Many pedestrians, trees, buildings, and one automobile. Signed indistinctly on lower right Robert Snooth(?). Canvas is 8" X 10" with approximate 2 1/2" molded corner frame. Framed size is 13 1/4" X 15 1/4". Condition: painting very much needs cleaning (white clouds are brownish gray) but has no punctures or loss of pigment. Frame is gold leaf with a French wash but has cracking and some loss of gilt on inner border. Shipping is quoted USPS priority mail with frame.
