Microscope Zeiss Standard GF 2055527, in museum quality shape

Description: This Zeiss Standard Microscope GF 2055527 was originally purchased new in the early 1960’s by a corporate medical department. It was placed in a closet inside the carrying case for 30 years until November 1991 when it was sent to I. Miller Precision Optical (Microscope Central.com) for servicing, cleaning and collimation. It was then returned to the same closet for another 28 years until December 2019 when I acquired it from the owner. I also decided to have it serviced and cleaned by I. Miller in Philadelphia. See photo of receipt. Now it’s been sitting in my storage for 5 years. I have other microscopes that I use in my lab and so I’ve decided, I do not have a need for something that’s too nice for me to use as a working laboratory microscope. So, I’m selling it to someone who will appreciate it. This Zeiss GF is in pristine condition. There are no dents, nicks, rubbed / worn spots or scratches on the scope. Only small scratches are on the nose of two objectives that does not impair the operation. (See photos) The scope is in excellent operating condition. It comes with 4 position nose piece with original matching objectives at 4x, 10x, 20x, 40x in a 160 millimeter tube length. The original ocular eyepieces are ten power. None of the glass is scratched and neither is the stage surface. It includes the original flat / concave reflective mirror and the original 120 volt light with the original blue filter again no scratches or damage. The exterior of black carrying box is not dented, scratched, torn or worn. The key to the lockset was lost some time long ago. There are also four plastic objective holders that have never been used that are nestled in the carrying box. Please check photos for more details. The scope will be packaged in a heavy cardboard box reinforced and held secure with Polyethylene foam. The head will be removed from the scope body and packed in separate containers inside the shipping box. Reassembly is easily preformed, no tools required.
