Most men wore them over the one or more regular shirts that they wished to keep clean, and so these Hunting Shirts are quite roomy. Please Note: Because these are over-shirts, each size is approximately 2 sizes larger than a regular shirt. The pullover style, sometimes referred to as a wagoner's frock, is from the French and Indian Wars period in the 1750s-60s, while the Open Front style had gained popularity by the Revolutionary War of the 1770s. These both were worn by working class people, including farmers, hunters, and militiamen.
