Description: This is a rare souvenir program from the Original German production of the MEL BROOKS and THOMAS MEEHAN musical comedy "THE PRODUCERS" at the Admiralspalast Theatre in Berlin, Germany. (The Original Broadway production opened April 19th, 2001 at the St. James Theatre in New York City and closed April 22nd, 2007 after 2502 performances. The German production opened May 14th, 2009 and played a sold-out two-month engagement.) ..... It was a cultural milestone when the German government made an exception to the criminal law of displaying Nazi symbols or salutes as the long-awaited musical finally opened May 14th, 2009 at the Admiralspalast where Adolf Hitler had a luxury box built for himself. The musical starred CORNELIUS OBONYA as "Max Bialystock" and ANDREAS BIEBER as "Leo Bloom" and featured BETTINA MONCH as "Ulla", HERBERT STEINBOCK as "Franz Liebkind", MARTIN SOMMERLATTE as "Roger DeBris" and ROB PELZER as "Carmen Ghia" .....
