Description: This is the 1961 pattern "Berså" (Swedish for Arbor) designed by prolific and beloved mid-century Swedish designer Stig Lindberg, interpreted as a 100% wool rug of hand knotted leaves on natural white flat weave base and handmade today in India. While he was responsible for many whimsical folksy yet pop patterns, especially for Gustavsberg pottery, this pattern is the best known and can still be found today as dishes, blankets, wallpaper, trays, towels, fabrics and paper goods. This simple and bold high/low graphic design with hand cut detail pile is meant to be an eye-catching accent. Also available in mustard yellow leaves, see separate listing. Wool is inherently soil resistant, fire resistant, anti static, anti microbial, and sound absorbing and is always a good long term choice, even for high traffic.
