Description: Maxillaria scalariformis x sib non bloom size rare orchid species These are young plants of a rare orchid species that is quite unique and showy when mature. This plant grows vertically at a pretty quick pace. This species is native to Costa Rica and can be found in the mountains. They prefer to stay evenly moist and not dry out and do not like to be repotted and have theor roots disturbed. I would do all you can to avoid damaging roots when repotting by up potting. When mature plants these are very showy and bloom with multiple attractive light pink blooms. Unfortunately no fragrance with these but what it lacks in fragrance it makes up in flower count.
