The piece is titled "Winter Morning" and is signed in the lower right corner, seen magnified in picture 5. The painting has impeccable provenance from The Salmagundi Club. The painting was exhibited there around on or around 1940, with the original label still affixed to the verso, seen magnified in picture 8. The painting is in very good original condition with no damage to the board or in-painting. There is light wear around the edges. The original gallery frame is solid but there are multiple losses along the left side, seen magnified in pictures 6 & 7. The painting can be hanged as-is with confidence as long as the new owner is ok with the losses on the frame. The frame measures roughly 25.5" x 21.5", with the image measuring roughly 16" x 12".
