Description: This is a beautiful oil painting by the Carmel, California artist Maurice Harvey (1928-2019). He was born in Westcliff-on-Sea, Essex, England and graduated from Southend College of Art, Essex England. He also attended London College of Art. Maurice worked as an illustrator for 15 years in the UK, Canada, and U.S. while in Canada, he was commissioned to do a collection of paintings for the Canadian Centennial, and they were presented to the Parliament Buildings. Maurice later moved to Carmel Valley, California where he lived and painted the rest of his life. He was best known for his gorgeous landscapes and was represented by Carmel galleries. This painting features a romantic couple in the South of France, at a location where Maurice and his wife were traveling. The image is 24” x 20” and measures 32” x 28” in a gold frame.
