Description: Transformers checked and working great! These transformers comes from a vintage recording mixer made in Germany in the 60s. These have the classic gray plastic and numbering system used on many other old AKG transformers from that same era. The mixer was a custom job, looked wonderful, but the former owner didn't had the money to service it, so he dismantled it and sold the amp and routing cards. I got some of these but as I didn't had schematics or pinouts, and I never had three times to trace the circuits, I decided to take the transformers and use it on my projects. These are small transformers in the same league as the famous Beyerdynamic (Beyer), with internal mumetal shielding inside the plastic case. Like with some of the white Beyers, the plastic case serves as a protectoon to the mumetal shield, that suffers if gets physical shocks or damage. But do not be fooled by their size! These are 5k:5k impedance transformers, will work well from 3k to 6k also, and will take lots of signal level. Exceeds as input transformers, like isolators and also interstate transformers. I did some tube compressors and EQs with those as inputs and also interstage, and it sounds really, really great, specially on vari-mu designs and passive EQs. Also worked pretty well as a 1176 type discrete FET compressor input transformer. If you are into Hi-Fi and want something to enrich your sounds in a very pleasant way, there's nothing like vintage transformers for this purpose. Just use it before your preamp or between your preamp and amplifier and be in awe with what these little fellows can do. The highs are specially VERY SMOOTH and pleasant, and the lows get a lot of extra balls and punch! You can also use it to build your own units like preamplifiers or amplifiers or just a transformer box to run your signal through and get the benefits, if you are into HiFi DIY. Otherwise, if you are a musician, producer or studio owner, you can use these to build Pultecs, VariMu compressors, mic preamps and many more. These will work very well as input transformers, and also as well as an interstage one. The model number is 23134, and the pair of transformers are matched to very close specifications. Anything from Germany from that era is simply outstanding quality! You won't see this very often. I actually never seen anything alike. These are quite unique and certainly VERY RARE! If you, like me, likes different tastes and shades of sound and color, then I would say, for the characteristics it brings, you shouldn't let this one go. A unit built with this is a luxory! I know my stuff, and have tested transformers from all of the very best manufacturers, vintage and new production, likeJorgen Shou JS, Western Electric, Langevin, Marinair, Parmeko, Partridge, UTC, Tamura, Peerless, Triad, Thordarson, Chicago, Beyerdynamic, Altec, Telefunken, Malotki, Siemens, Seinnheiser, Lundahl, Raphaelite, Haufe, Pikatron, Sowter, etc. I can provide professional wiring info to the buyer, if needed. Get these while you can! Unfortunately, due to COVID-19 limitations (yes, still), I can't ship to Australia. Don't ask me why. More good audio parts in my other items.
