Description: Tashi Delek and Welcome to my Gallery!!!All of the paintings and arts in my gallery are originally handmade and hand-painted by my family members and other local artists who have been practicing their craft for over two decades. My father is Master Artists Nepal with an experience of more than four decades; you can see some of his work in this Gallery. Also you can see some of the beautiful and soulful artwork of talented local artists from Himalayas. ~~24k Gold Brocade Wheel of Life Thangka~~ Silk brocading is a process of framing a Thangka in traditional Tibetan style. The frame is made of beautiful silk fabric having rich colors and patterns. The silk fabric protects the edges of the Thangka, and also makes it easier to hang. A thin silk cover protects the painting when rolled, and may be gathered up to display the painting when hung on the wall. It is generally thought that silk brocade renders a Thangka more attractive and more religious.Hub: the three poisonsThe images in the hub of the wheel represent the three poisons of anger, ignorance and greediness.Second layer: karmaOne half-circle (usually light) shows contented people moving upwards to higher states, possibly to the higher realms. The other half-circle (usually dark) shows people in a miserable state being led downwards to lower states, possibly to the lower realms.Third layer: the six realms of samsaraThe three higher realms are shown in the top half of the circle; the higher realms consist of the god realm, the demi-god realm and the human realm..The three lower realms are shown in the bottom half of the circle; the lower realms consist of the hell realm, the animal realm and the hungry ghost realm. The wheel is being held by a fearsome figure who represents impermanence. This figure is most commonly depicted as Yama, the lord of death. Regardless of the figure depicted, the inner meaning remains the same–that the entire process of cyclic existence (samsara) is transient; everything within this wheel is constantly changing.[Size = 82cm x 68cm] Material Used:• Cotton Canvas• Natural Pigments and colors• Gold leaf• Silk Fabric~Excellent for meditation or home/office decor,~Tibetan Yoga Wall Art~Genuine 100% hand-painted from HimalayasPlease feel free to contact me if you have any question regarding the painting.
