Description: Here is a vintage 1950's MARX 155mm Shell Shooting Long Tom Field Cannon with 7 original shells and it's very hard to find box. Review photos. This is a clean MARX cannon. It comes from the estate of a long time toy collector. I see a few minor marks here and there on the cannon's surface. There are some minor scratches on the bottom of the cannon from use. You cannot see those unless you inspect the cannon's base. I don't see anything broken or missing. The cannon is olive drab hard plastic and the rails are in a soft plastic material. The shells are in a gold hard plastic. The cannon did work and fire a shell when tested. The wheels roll fine. I don't see any rust issues. The box displays well. Close inspection of the box does show some wear in the form of creases, soiling, some edge and seam wear and tears, and there are tape reinforcements of the flaps here and there. I note that one of the interior flaps is missing. See Photos, This is a difficult to find MARX cannon and especially difficult to find with original shells and it's elusive master box. This is a great piece for your collection! The cannon will be shipped outside of the Field Cannon box but in the same shipping box. This is because the soft plastic cannon rails cannot be removed after they have been mounted to the gun without damaging the rail insertion pins. Carefully packed shipping is $16.95.
