Description: Marx Heritage Fort Apache Play Set Box. Our price is for the box only, with no play set figures, buildings or other accessories included. This is a facsimile, similar to but not an exact replica of the original. It’s a brand new box. Our boxes are used by many collectors as an ideal way to house their play sets when they do not have the original box or the original is too fragile or valuable for storage. This premium Marx box, with its unique hand drawn battle scene, is based on an original from the extensive Marx play set collection of Rick Eber (Rick Eber's marxplaysets). Produced in 1964 exclusively for Montgomery Wards, it's one of the rarest Fort Apache sets ever produced. Only 10 to 15 originals are known to exist. This box has artwork on the top, front, back, and both side panels. A small thumb cutout offers easy opening. It measures 24 ½" x 14 ¼" x 4 ½" and is printed and mounted on heavy white corrugated. We have a larger box, too. This play set box is also available in a large box measuring 28 ¼" x 16" x 5" (with no thumb cutout) for an additional $20. To order this larger box, please ALSO order a $20 upgrade at this link. Simply copy and paste this eBay item number into the eBay search engine at the top of the page: 205025263416 Each box is carefully packed to arrive in perfect condition. Gene Rosner The Little Toy Maker———————————————————————* A NOTE ABOUT OUR SHIPPING PRICE: After ten years of maintaining our shipping at $20, despite the US Post Office’s periodic rate increases, we are forced to raise this cost by $15. This is because the US Post Office has surprisingly changed their rate structure. As of June, 2019, their pricing is based on size, rather than weight. My shipping boxes are large, but my play set boxes are very light weight, 5 or 6 pounds. Now, because of their size, the Post Office will now charge me as if the box weighs 25 pounds, forcing me to pay as much as $80 to ship to some parts of the country. This is called DIM pricing, (Dimensional Weight).Since this an unreasonable cost to pass on to my customers, I will be shipping now via FedEX, which has always been more costly than the US Post Office, but will increase my cost by only $15, rather than up to the $60 increase the Post Office now requires. Thank you for your understanding.———————————————————————
