Description: Marshall4210 JCM 800 50 wt. Combo. 1980s High Gain Pleaseread entire description and see pictures, they are part of thedescription.Thisamp has been modified by the previous owner, as described below. Thefront panel has the 'presence' knob added.(Asfar as I know) all other 2 channel JCM800s had this knob, except thissmall 1 X 12 combo. It was just too small to get the 11th knob inthere, but the circuit board has the feature present. The previousowner wired it up and added the pot to the faceplate. This is adesirable addition and not that common. Ithas cosmetic issues, as seen in photos. Mainly, the rear print isabsent and replaced by neatly done labels, black print on clearlabel. Theback panel protecting the tubes is not original, it's simply a pieceof 1/4" plywood and some black stain. In the pix, I didn't getin installed, but there is the last shot of the panel on top of theamp. With thatout of the way... This thing sounds Awesome. ItScreams. Everybody that has played it or been on a sessionwith it has commented, or outright marveled atthe sound. This modelis an absolute sleeper. Considered bysome to be the first true High Gain Marshall. It starts where thesingle channel JCM800 left off, and adds extra gain stages. ANDchannel switching with a clean channel that some really like (in aword, Spanky, great with a Tele for clean spank). ANDa built in reverb pan (has to be turned up more compared to a Fenderfor comparable effect). ANDan effects loop (we've never used it)AND The1X12 cabinet is perfect for giging up to medium-hi stagevolumes, OR run through a 1/2 stack. There areseveral sellers offering the 50 wt. head only for over $2K. Thesecombos are, generally, less expensive than the head only.If you have asmall studio (which, I do) this is one of the best choices you couldcome up with. Within the lastyear, it has been to a local tube amp and Marshall specialist. Hecleaned all controls and jacks, replaced a copula of parts, bench tested it and gave it a clean bill of health. When hecalled to tell me it was ready, he said he play tested it and said hewas floored. "I don't think I've seen that exact model, it'sawesome". I think he was referring to the single 12format. Local pick upin New Orleans is, of course preferred, with the option to demo theamp.I am not a proseller. This is a peer to peer transaction. While I have a shippingbox ready, Depending on timing, it may take 3 or so business days toship. If this is an issue, please contact me and I can forecastshipping window.I recommendremoving the tubes and packing them separately. Buyer would have tobe comfortable installing tubes into order, as will be described.Vintageelectronics, therefore, Sold as is, as described.Due to shippingweight, returns will not be accepted. But, you arewelcome to play amp in person, even audition it prior to purchase.
