After all, it took four years for a goat to grow enough wool for your sweater. If taken care of well, cashmere will last a lifetime. Many cashmere items can be hand washed safely in lukewarm water. Use baby shampoo or gentle wash detergent and rinse well. Add half cup of white vinegar to the rinse. Washing actually makes cashmere softer, allowing the yarns to bloom. Dry flat and don't expose to any heat. Light pilling is not a problem for cashmere. Even the best quality cashmere give some pilling. Just wash it and remove pilling by hand when it is still wet. TERMS & POLICIES: Because most of my items are pre-loved, they may have undergone natural wear. Each garment is carefully inspected before it is listed. Any flaws I find will be mentioned. Cashmere is a very delicate fabric, and while we have four stages of quality control, the fragility of the fabric means that sometimes there are hidden flaws. Although we take the utmost care of our cashmeres, we unfortunately cannot guarantee the same for previous owners of our pre-loved garments. Through no fault of our own, sometimes cashmere comes to us having been machine washed or otherwise altered from the original size.
