Description: Large scale lamp with hand painted porcelain by Maitland Smith. Original label and price tag on the bottom, switched is stamped MS. Rare find that looks great but has some minor condition issues. Makes quite an impression, direct from a local estate please study photos and send any questions you might have.Stands about 35" to top of the finial, 22" to top of socket, about 9" wide and 8.25" square base. Good condition overall, makes a fine appearance. While it looks quite nice there are some issues to point out. One side of the lamp has some notable crackelure or splitting in the paint. No loss, no chips, but one section is slightly raised-see last 3 photos. There are a few other visible lines in the paint, but nothing is loose or missing. On the corners and edges there are some small, subtle glaze chips, skin deep only, some show light touch up (white spots on edge in 11th photo are original paint-not damage). There are no chips or cracks in the porcelain base; wear is to the paint only. It appears the harp has been replaced but is quite functional, not sure about the finial but it is in fine shape. Lamp stands straight, tight, lined up nicely. No water damage, no fading. Cord, socket and 3-way switch are working great. See photos for the best description and send any questions you might have.
