Each volume is 18 3/4 by 15 1/4 inches with 70 full page copper engraved plates by Bartolozzi, Sharp, Fittler, Heath et. al. after paintings by Fuseli, Opie, Northcote, West, Stothart, Loutherbourg, etc. The bindings of this set are worn and rubbed with scuffing and the corners, joints, and edges rubbed raw. Volume One shows the heaviest wear and the upper cover has separated. Volume V of this set has some staining to the upper corners of the first 40 pages (not affecting the plates or text). The plates in this set show some intermittent offsetting, foxing and spotting but are generally clean and retain most of the tissue overlays. In all a reasonably attractive set of this famous Bible at an attractive price.
