Description: This is a remake of the Redfield Jr base for the Remington 700 short action. This is a copy of the base used on the M40 Sniper rifle used by the USMC in Vietnam. The base is in the white allowing you to finish it any way you want. This mount will fit all post 1974 700s in short action, earlier dates may require a shim. These bases will accept all Leupold and redfield turn in style bases. No screws supplied, windage screws from Leupold or Redfield will fit.
