Description: With the mobilization and expansion of the US Army in 1917, everything was in short supply. Ordnance officers found thousands of the obsolete M1905 bayonet scabbards in ordnance warehouses and converted them to M1910 by removing the Krag style belt hook and fitting a leather frog with a M1910 style belt hook. Originals are now quite rare. These scabbards are constructed exactly like originals, with rawhide body covered in leather and steel throat. THIS OFFERING IS FOR THE SCABBARD ONLY. BAYONET IS NOT INCLUDED.
