Size of the plaque - most likely copper- is 1.5 inches x 1.25 inches, mounted on plastic rectangle, size 3 inches x 2.5 inches. The plaque has two maps of the world with the inscription "HERE MEN FROM THE PLANET EARTH / FIRST SET FOOT UPON THE MOON / JULY 1969, AD / WE CAME IN PEACE FOR ALL MANKIND' Underneath are the signatures of the astronauts involved with the mission, Neil Armstrong, Michael Collins and Edwin "Buzz" Aldrin. The front of the plaque is in excellent condition, the back inscription "Made in Canada" is faded but clearly visible. Plaque was originally held on the base by double-sided tape that has now come loose.
