Description: A beautiful vintage designer Mid Century Zimbabwe 9k gold blue topaz hearts ring, marks of Zeeta, Zimbabwe, dating to the circa 1960s. The Ungar family headed by W.Z. Ungar opened up their jewelry store in Bulawayo, Rhodesia (Now Zimbabwe) in 1953 and retailed excellent quality pieces designed in house and they continued their exceptional tradition after they moved the business to South Africa, today Zeeta pieces remain highly sought after by collectors of fine African designer jewelry. This absolutely stunning romantic Mid Century solid 9k yellow gold ring has the most beautiful oval faceted multi prong set 15 carat blue topaz which glows a dreamy inky dark and light blue color depending on how the light hits it, the topaz set solitaire style high above the finger in a raised open gallery decorated with pretty scrolling hearts all the way around, the ring with split shoulders and a classic band-gorgeous and very romantic! The ring is stamped 'Zeeta' inside the band. The ring tests for 9k gold. The ring is just under a size 9 (closer to a 9 than an 8 3/4). The topaz measures approximately 19.9mm x 14.8mm x 7.2mm or about 15 carats. The ring rises about 11mm above the finger. The ring weighs approximately 6.6 grams. The ring is in excellent condition with only light general wear. the topaz is in wonderful condition with only very minor wear and looks fantastic.
