The ladle is marked Pat. Pending and bears the William Rogers hallmark circa 1938. This handsome soup tureen measures 7.50 inches high and 10.50 inches wide from handle to handle. The piece sits upon a pedestal base which will keep it off of the surface placed upon to prevent heat marks. A ball design decorates the top and bottom rims, side open handles and on the removable top finial. A cut out on the lid provides for placement of a ladle. The soup tureen is in EXCELLENT READY TO USE ESTATE CONDITION with no silver loss, dents or repairs. The inside is very clean with no pits or rust. The ladle came with the soup tureen when purchased and other than some very light scratches from use through the years it is in great estate condition. Any dark spots are from background glare. An impressive piece and one that will look elegant at your dining table when serving invited quests.
