Description: The Lotton Art Glass studio began operation in 1970 by its founder Charles Lotton in a small building behind his house. By 1973 due to the rapid popularity of his unique art glass, Charles moved his operation to a larger facility after which he was joined by two of his sons Daniel and John Lotton. His sons brought their unique artistic talents to the table and begin producing world renowned works of art. Starting with a pale cranberry base color, Daniel Lotton used his imagination to create a wonderful abstract design of strap leaves connected with a drapery web. This pattern has a raised tactile property, a multi colored iridescent hue. The textured background also exhibits a slight iridescence. The artist signature as well as the date, 1992, clearly visible on the bottom. The vase stands just under 7” tall, the top opening 3” diameter, the widest region spans roughly 6 1/4” across. Thorough examination reveals no damages or repairs to this exquisite example. I see no staining or residue on the inside from use. A striking work of art from a world renowned studio located here in midwestern America. Please view all pictures as they are considered part of the description. Please check back to my listings often as I will be posting numerous fine examples of glass, pottery and porcelain in the near future. Thank you.
