Started in 1834 as a two-partner firm in Birmingham, Wragge & Co LLP is now a UK-headquartered international law firm providing a full range of legal services to UK and international clients. Its 126 equity partners and 500 lawyers advise on deals, projects and disputes from the firm's headquarters in Birmingham and offices in London, Brussels, Guangzhou and Munich. Wragge & Co also has affiliated offices in Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Paris. According to The Lawyer 200 in 2011,[1] Wragge & Co is the 23rd largest law firm in the UK with a turnover of £113 million. Twenty of its partners feature among Legal 500’s[2] ‘leading individuals’, while the firm is ranked for 41 different practice areas in Chambers UK 2012 I received this information from a friendly ebayer hi, I thought you may be interested to know that the books were probably owned by George Wragge of Oakamoor Lodge, Staffordshire. George was a solicitor who married Emma Ingleby and had a son named George Paulson who eventually joined his Uncle and cousin Clement Mansfield Ingleby in Birmingham at the firm Ingelby, Wragge and Ingleby that eventually became Wragge and Sons. George Wragge went to Oakamoor to become manager of the Cheadle Copper and Brass Wire Company, This was a partnership with Thomas Patten and the Ingleby's and part of the Cheadle Brass business Empire. He became a shareholder and died in 1849 and buried at Oakamoor Church. George was the grandfather of Clement Lindley Wragge the famous meteorologist who was brought up by Emma Wragge in Oakamoor from 1853 TAKE A LOOK AT MY COLLECTION OF OTHER COOL STUFF I HAVE LISTED.
