Description: Offered here are a lot of three (3) engravings after drawings made by Isaac Weld (1774-1856, Irish). The engravings are made by different printmakers (Drayton, Springsguth) and published by John Stockdale. Weld began his travels in Philadelphia and made his way through the upper United States and into Canada. The three engravings offered here are:View on the Hudson RiverView of Cape DiamondCanadian Calash or Marche-DoncThe dimensions are height 8 1/4 inches (sheet) and 10 5/8 inches width (sheet). [Note: The View on the Hudson is 10 1/4 inches in width.] These are lovely and evocative images of North America in the late-18th century. Unfortunately, they have sustained some water damage and are priced accordingly. These prints are from my personal collection which I am beginning to sell off. Unless noted otherwise in the description, the prints, art and other items that I sell are not "reproductions". For example, offered maps are of the period. Please check my other listings for additional items of interest. I will combine shipping.
