We have not attempting any repairs or modifications other than attempting to power on and disposing of the two loose (pillowing) batteries that came in the box.Our testing found that 1 unit (in possibly the best condition) and most seem to have a plastic film over the screen still, Will Not power on at all and the 3 other units all power on and reveal the shown error screen. 1 of these three goes into a boot loop and there is a vertical line in the display. 1 of the units is already in two halves.Other units have not been opened to inspect what the contents are or are not, but all seem to have the same overall rough weight (happy to check)More photos can be added of each of the units if required let us know.
