Description: Measures 7" X 10-15/32", 136 pp plus covers, written and illustrated by Jack Jackson (aka JAXON), trade paperback published by Fantagraphics Books, Inc. (CT). Juan M. Seguin was one of about twenty Texas-Mexicans who defended the Alamo during the Texas War of Independence in 1835/36. Seguin was ordered to leave the Alamo to deliver yet another request for reinforcements to the commander of the rebel garrison at Goliad, and returned to the Alamo shortly after it had fallen to the Mexican army. Seguin fought again, though, at the Battle of San Jacinto with Sam Houston, which finally freed Texas of domination from Mexico. Seguin went on to gain high offices in both Texas and Mexico, and was praised and reviled as a traitor in both. This book is told in "graphic novel" format.
