Description: Lledo Days Gone Diecast ModelSP6-078A Ford Model T VanOne Stop Shopping Limited Edition - No. 355 Jack Odell, one of the founders of the Matchbox diecast company, founded Lledo (Odell backwards) in 1982, and launched the "Days Gone" range of models in 1983, serving a market previously popularised by the Matchbox "Models of Yesteryear" series. The Model T Ford Van has been a staple of the Days Gone range since 1983 and has appeared in hundreds of different liveries. The promotional market became Lledo's bread and butter, with the Model T Van proving a favourite for companies and organisations who would order limited runs of the model with their own livery. For small quantities, where it would not be economically viable to use Lledo's tampo printing process, the company had a licensing arrangement with Hertfordshire-based Stevelyn & Company, who would take "blank" finished models from Lledo and hand-finish them by applying labels to the client's specifications. Stevelyn-finished models, like this one, can be distinguished by the "SP" prefix to the model reference number. This model was commissioned by Daniel Hill Enterprises on behalf of the One Stop Shopping Centre in Birmingham's Perry Barr, and it was produced in 1993. This is model No. 355 of a Limited Edition of only 500 made, and it comes with its own certificate. Excellent pre-owned condition in original box, and complete with Certificate. Box has very little wear and no serious rips, splits or taped-up corners. Model itself is clean and near mint condition. See photos - all photos show actual item.
