Description: Hello! Boy-oh-boy, do we have a doozy for you! In a very good way, obviously. Here is an absolutely Divine Peacock Relief Majolica Ceramic Art Plate! The colours and texture is incredibly Brilliant and Bold...I would definitely want this in my home; I've never seen anything so joyful! This is a tin-glaze on a red clay body, which became a part of the revival during the 1950s. This is an incredibly crafted piece, with heavy slip trails, that are Very similar to putting frosting on a cake. The markings are difficult to decipher with my eyes. From what we could figure, they read "ERKLESI CELRA N E M MASZNALNATO" and "B. LANE' H M V", there also appears to be either a number or signature. It is Excellent Vintage condition! It does appear that the string is not original. I would recommend using art frame wire, since this is about 3 lbs., and meant to be hung on the wall. The measurements are close to 12 1/3" by 12 1/3", and 1 1/2" deep. Shipping, handling, and insurance is for the Contiguous U.S. at a flat rate of $25.00. We will require a signature upon arrival.
