Here is a neat clean vintage Lionel item--this is a postwar 2671WX tender. It would look great with any of your old postwar Lionel--or run it with your PREWAR steam engine and have a way to TRANSITION into your postwar cars. It will look good with any tenderless Lionel steam engine from any year post 1945. It has the operating knuckle coupler on the back. The number tells us it has a whistle (W) and that this particular one was only available in sets (X). This is perfect if you are completing a set. This coal tender is the only one of this style that came with six wheel trucks! The 2671WX originally came in sets with steam engines in 1949-51 such as the 671 in 1948-49 681 in 1950-51 BUT it will go with ANY Lionel steam engine. Six wheel trucks Lionel Lines Whistle Nice simulated coal load up top. Streamlined design Operating coupler Drawbar Metal wheels and axles Compatible with any three rail O gauge steam engine CONDITION: C-6. Serviced and operating as it should.
