Description: Offered for sale: A complete Lionel Train Set that includes everything needed. All pieces, except the transformer are from the Post War Era(1945-1969). They were quality made by Lionel in New York, New York, USA. Included are the following: (1) # 2037 2-6-4 Lionel Steam locomotive, made between 1957 &1963. It was lubed & "Bench Tested" to confirm proper operation in Forward, Neutral & Reverse. It smokes and the headlight works. The piece of blue painters tape on the top, marks the proper location for the lever of the "E-unit" to achieve the 3 actions. If the lever is moved in other positions, the locomotive will either run in only one direction or sit in neutral. (2) # 6466W Lionel Whistle tender. Lubed and "Bench Tested" to confirm proper Whistle sound. (3) #6465 Sunoco Tank Car. 1948-1956. (4) #X6454 Southern Pacific Boxcar with sliding doors. 1949-1952. (5) # 6454 Western Pacific Boxcar with sliding doors. 1953-1954. (6) #6464 Gondola with 5 barrels. 1949 -1954. (7) # 6357 Southern Pacific Illuminated Caboose.1948-1953. (8) Lionel Type 4090 90 Watt Transformer , made by Lionel1970 in Mt Clemens Michigan between 1970 &1984. Attached is a Lionel "Lock on" which should be connected to a piece of straight track. (9) 8 Pcs. Lionel "O" 27 straight track and 8 Pcs. Lionel "O" 27 curved track. (10) One sample bottle of "Liquid Smoke". For best performance, the track should be attached, with wood screws, to a piece on plywood. These are Vintage items of about 75 years old. Lionel built great train items at that time. Although there may be a few marks, they would be rated Very Good to Excellent. The trucks and couplers are made of Die Cast steel. All the wheels, couplers and door slides were lubricated to ensure proper performance. All of the above items will be wrapped with "Bubble Wrap" or equivalate packing materials before placing them into the shipping box. Shipping will by FedEx Ground (5 -7 business days).
