Description: 9.5” enameled metal Commodore Vanderbilt loco, has a much better than usual diecast cab. Finish is shiny-clean, has wear, mostly edges, more wear on front pilot. It looks like 1935 model, has nickel-tire drive wheels and brass “L” plate on front. Stack trim is incorrect and there is a bulkhead added inside the cab, possibly for additional weight. Cab casting has edge wear to finish, very light cracks, visible mainly at rear, otherwise is solid and complete. It ran and reversed a bit sticky, headlight worked when tested, as is, no operation warranty. One drive wheel is a bit loose, not fatigued, but if it gets “off-quarter” it will make the motor bind. Loco only, sold as is, hard to find with a decent diecast cab. All Items, including N.O.S. (new-old-stock), are graded and represented as vintage collectibles. Operational ability and characteristics or completeness of vintage motors, mechanisms, wiring, bulbs etc are not guaranteed. We do not guarantee coupler operation.
