Lionel 224E Locomotive, 2224T Tender and 5 RR Cars with boxes

Description: Pre-war #224E Lionel black steam locomotive, #2224T tender, #3659 remote dump car, #3651 remote control lumber car, #2654 oil tank car, #2652 gondola car, and #2657 caboose, #6019 remote control track set. Also includes Type W transformer. All rolling stock have operational electric box couplers. All wheels, axels and undercarriages are rust free. Specific descriptions follow: #224E locomotive I believe is from 1940 as previous 1938 and 1939 were produced in gunmetal gray. The locomotive is like-new. No blemishes, dings, scratches or other marks. Engine was barely used as evidenced by little to no wear on pickup rollers. Tested and runs smoothly in both directions. e unit fully functional. All hardware intact. Unfortunately only half the original box exists. It looks like whomever was the original owner couldn't wait to open up the train set but soon tired of it before putting it in storage for these 80-plus years. The #2224T is the original tender provided with the set from 1940. It has no whistle. The body is in pristene condition (no paint chips, dings or other blemishes). The original box is ripped on one side and end flaps are torn. Cardboard insert is intact. #3659 remote dump car is in nice condition overall but the black paint on the metal dump support is flaking off. The dump mechanism works fine. Some cracking noted in the undercarriage wiring due to age. The box is whole but is missing one end flap. #3651 lumber car is in excellent physical and mechanical condition. Dump mechanism works well. Includes 5 original logs. Box has both end flaps but is missing some tabs. #2654 oil tank car chassis is in nice condition but yellow paint on body is flaking off. Box is missing one end flap. #2652 yellow gondola car is in very fine condition with one or two minor paint chips on top rim. Box is missing one end flap. #2657 caboose is in excellent condition. A couple of very minor paint chips on one side. No scratches or physical blemishes. Box is missing one end flap and several tabs. #6019 remote control track set is in nice condition. Box is missing one end flap. All rolling stock undercarriages are like new. All box couplers work. I am including miscellaneous loose end flaps and tabs for restoration of the boxes.
