Description: MADE IN AMERICA TO PURCHASE A RIGHT AND LEFT SET, SIMPLY PURCHASE TWO. Up for sale is a REMANUFACTURED door open warning switch for a 1966, 1967, 1968, 1969 Continentals and Mark III's and, 1970 Lincoln Mark III. This switch (which is mounted on the RIGHT rear door (passenger side) latch mechanism inside the door) acts as a door open warning switch in all of these cars. In the convertibles, it also is an integral part of the rear window AUTO DROP feature, and turns on the courtesy lights when the door is opened.. In the sedan, this turns on the courtesy lights when the rear door is opened. These are normally worn out and corroded on most Lincolns. This part has a brand new, custom made, brass contact "matchstick" installed. This is slightly heavier duty than the original, and should last several decades. Each piece is hand assembled and tested for fit and function by installing it on a working latch assembly Once you have installed your new switch, please send me the old, worn out one. I can only rebuild them if I have cores. Thank you. If you have any questions about this part, or would like to know about the many other 1960s Lincoln parts I have available to auction on Ebay, please give me a call.
