LIBERACE - AUTOGRAPHED INSCRIBED PHOTOGRAPH 08/18/1955 - HFSID 279457 LIBERACE Black and white publicity photograph of Liberace for his film Sincerely Yours. Photograph inscribed and signed: "Sincerely/yours/ Liberace/[drawn piano]/to Cindy/Aug 18/1955". B/w, 7x10 overall, image 7x9 (one surface). Publicity photo for his film Sincerely Yours (1955). A piano prodigy who was performing with symphony orchestras in his teens, LIBERACE (1919-1987) disappointed the critics but delighted the public by channeling his talent into popular and novelty songs and on showmanship. With flamboyant costumes and campy performances, Liberace became in the staid 1950s the world's highest paid pianist and star of his own Emmy-winning TV show. Liberace left behind six gold albums, two stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and a museum and foundation, which fund scholarship grants in the arts. Minor surface creases not evident head on. Mounting remants on verso. Otherwise, fine condition. See more material from these signers: LIBERACE See more listings in our MUSIC & PERFORMERS (2,988) category.
