First edition thus, 5 vols, foolscap 8vo (6.5 in x 4 in), index to Gravius arrangement, index. Original blind and gilt full old plum calf, backs in five compartments, gilt black calf lettering pieces in the second and fourth, gilt ornaments fill the rest, sides with double gilt fillet borders enclosing blind roll tooled frame filled fully with blind basket weave decoration. All edges sprinkled. Marbled endpapers. Attractive near fine clean set with strong joints, very light wear. Some scattered foxing to titles and end sheets--the most is to Vol I title as shown, otherwise unusually clean and fresh, unmarked, complete.
