Frank Leslie was perhaps best known for his documentation of the Civil War in his Illustrated Weekly Newspaper that chronicled the war. The best of these illustrations were reissued in combined volumes and histories after the war. He sent artists to the battle fields to sketch the events, which were then brought back to his printing company where they were cleaned up and turned into illustrations. The print is not mounted, matted nor framed being sold as a single sheet as seen in the first pic. Overall, a very nicely preserved print that would frame up well! Size: The image area is approximately 4 x 11 inches on 11 1/2 by 17" page (30x43cm) Condition: It is in Very Good to Excellent condition, with other illustrations or text on the reverse.
