Description: Serial numbers (part numbers) on this PAIR of FINE LEITZ MICROSCOPES SOLD TOGETHER date these two at 1912 and 1956. Both use mirrors but the later black stand includes a first generation MICRO-IBSO 35mm (39mm Leica thread) with 1/3x conical tube lens and small focusing telescope. At that time the LEITZ ORTHOLUX already had an integrated light source and the ability to quickly set up for transmitted or incident light studies. Both instruments include a mirror and the later model includes a factory wooden case and key. TEN TEACHING SLIDES with sample description labels. Note the early #47 mechanical stage on the later model....coaxial x/y controls and substage/right positioning of the knobs. The 1912 model includes a triple nosepiece and objectives #3, #4 and #7. Eyepiece #3 (about 8x). 44 year span of Leitz microscope development in these two microscopes. The 1956 model now shows the objectives as their prime magnification....10x, 45x and 100x oil immersion. 10x eyepiece for use in viewing or with the MicroIBSO. Ships only to USA LOWER 48...no exports. Shipping and insurance is included FREE. Two historical models at a very reasonable price. Add a screw mount Leica camera or get an adapter to go from 39mm male to 42mm male (T-mount rings) for your DSLR or MILC. Ask questions before pulling the trigger on this one. Do you know what a #4 objective is magnification-wise? Thanks for viewing this unique offer. These scopes are part of a large Leitz collection that is being liquidated.
