Leica R3 Safari Portugal - Unused

Description: This is a Leica R3 Safari that's been stored since new. The previous owner occasionally took it out of the box to admire but never put a roll of film in it. Included are the cap, strap, German-language instructions, and serial number certificate. Mint-minus cosmetics with nearly perfect paint. There are a few very fine scratches on the baseplate. No dents or dings. There's a small amount of peeling leatherette along the top of the film door. Very fresh appearance. Please see pictures! Shutter - the shutter is surprisingly smooth for a camera made in 1978. Speeds are working well. Everything looks and sounds great. Electronics - with batteries (not included), everything is behaving as-new. Finder - clean and as-new. The original strap was packaged with small red rubber bands. They dried up and broke long ago but the fragments are still stuck to the strap - see first picture.
